Urges Govt to release three month’s salaries

Srinagar Feb 17 (KNO) : Congress today slammed Govt for withholding three month’s salaries of SSA (Surva Shiksha Abhiyaan) Teachers, describing this move on the Part of Govt as very unfortunate and anti-teacher.

The Party Spokesperson while reacting to the delegation of SSA Teachers called on JKPCC President G.A. Mir seeking his intervention into the matter, said that the delegation apprised the President of the difficulties confronting them (SSA Teachers) due to the indifferent attitude of the Govt towards them forcing them to come on roads.

The delegation was led by Peer Misaq sought intervention of G.A. Mir into the matter inorder to get the genuine demand of release of their salaries addressed The delegation also apprised that despite their repeated requests to the Department concerned, their salaries were not being released, as a result, their families are at the verge of starvation, Spokesperson added.

The Congress Spokesperson while expressing serious concern over the plight of SSA Teachers slammed the Govt for adopting indifferent attitude towards them emphasizing the need for release of salaries of their enabling them to sustain their families. (KNO)
